Circle area is the megawatts
Finland · the batteries their owners name · Fingrid’s count of 16 October 2026
2,057 MW of batteries are connected in Finland by Fingrid’s own count. Their owners name 19 of them, 393 MW, and 1,434 MW more being built.
No Finnish body publishes a list of the batteries on the grid. Fingrid, the system operator, counts them and publishes the total, hourly; the Energy Authority’s register of power plants holds no battery. So this map is the batteries their owners and builders have named in their own releases and in council and permit papers: 77 of them, every fact with its source beside it. 19 are operating (one of them energised and commissioning), 21 are being built and 37 are announced. The 19 operating hold 393 MW, about 19% of Fingrid’s count; the rest of the count is units too small for anyone to announce. The Finland page reads Fingrid’s count and the reserve markets; every named battery has a page.
