BESS Löwenberger Land

38 MW, 76 MWh (2 hours) in Löwenberger Land, Brandenburg, registered as operating since 5 July 2026. Everything on this page is read from Germany’s register of power units and the other published records named beside each fact.

What it is

The register holds this battery as two units.

UnitRegister numberMWMWhCommissionedBatteryGrid operator check
BESS Löwenberger Land IISEE93775523349322455 July 2026Lithiumunder check
BESS Löwenberger Land ISEE93399609818116325 July 2026Lithiumunder check

Power is the net power the operator registered, the most the unit may feed into the grid. Energy is the usable capacity of the unit’s installation. A grid operator check marked “checked” means the grid company has confirmed the entry; “under check” means it has not yet. On the large sites we compared, the register’s commissioning date often came months before the owner’s announced start, which suggests it records first energisation.

Who runs it and who owns it

Holding GmbH took 52 % by share transfer, notarial deed of 16 October 2023 Checked 11 October 2026. Every battery of this family.

The register names the operator, the company that runs the unit. The owner behind it comes from the commercial register (Handelsregister) or the owner’s own publication, as marked. The register number is the one the operator typed in; on 11 October 2026 we found it wrong or missing for 26 of the companies we looked up.

Who trades it and what it is built from

No published source we have found names who trades this battery, who built it or whose cells it uses. Fields we cannot source are left out.

The innovation tenders pay a market premium to solar or wind paired with storage. The award lists are the Bundesnetzagentur’s. A bidder that differs from today’s operator dates a change of hands, or a spelling difference.

What has changed in the register

First registered on 5 July 2026; last changed in the register on 5 July 2026. No change has shown in our reads since the first, on 10 October 2026.

What this page cannot show

Germany publishes no battery’s metered output. On 11 October 2026 we checked the four public sources that might carry it: the ENTSO-E Transparency Platform, SMARD, the yearly EEG data and the transmission companies’ redispatch records. None gives the output of any German battery, one by one or as a fleet. So this page cannot say what the battery exported, imported or earned, as Britain’s battery pages do.
