Power is the net power the operator registered, the most the unit may feed into the grid. Energy is the usable capacity of the unit’s installation. A grid operator check marked “checked” means the grid company has confirmed the entry; “under check” means it has not yet. On the large sites we compared, the register’s commissioning date often came months before the owner’s announced start, which suggests it records first energisation.
Who runs it and who owns it
| Operator in the register | Commercial register entry, as the operator gave it | Seat |
|---|---|---|
| Stadtwerke München GmbH | Amtsgericht München HRB 121920 | München, Bayern |
Owner. Stadtwerke München. Reported in the trade press and not yet confirmed by the owner or the commercial register. Evidence: solarserver, 18 August 2022: "Aus dem Wasserkraftwerk Uppenborn 1 der Stadtwerke München (SWM) wird gerade ein flexibles Kombikraftwerk.". Checked 16 October 2026. Every battery of this family.
The register names the operator, the company that runs the unit. The owner behind it comes from the commercial register (Handelsregister) or the owner’s own publication, as marked. The register number is the one the operator typed in; on 11 October 2026 we found it wrong or missing for 26 of the companies we looked up.
Who trades it and what it is built from

From published documents: the owners’, builders’ and optimisers’ own announcements and the trade press, each linked. Where the owner’s power or energy differs from the register’s, both are shown and every figure on this site uses the register’s.

What this page cannot show
Germany publishes no battery’s metered output. On 11 October 2026 we checked the four public sources that might carry it: the ENTSO-E Transparency Platform, SMARD, the yearly EEG data and the transmission companies’ redispatch records. None gives the output of any German battery, one by one or as a fleet. So this page cannot say what the battery exported, imported or earned, as Britain’s battery pages do.
