908 of 908 batteries drawn: 833 at the distribution substation they connect through, 0 at the site itself where OpenStreetMap maps it, the rest at the centre of their commune or at RTE’s substation in it. Every one is in service; the darker circles are on RTE’s transmission grid.

France · every battery in the national register · register of 31 August 2026

France’s national register names 908 batteries in service, 2,245 MW, and the substation each one connects through.

The register of production and storage installations lists every battery of 36 kW and more one by one, with its commune, its substation, its network and its size. It names no owner, and withholds the name of 149 batteries on the distribution grids. Each battery is drawn at the substation it connects through wherever Caparéseau publishes that substation’s position. The France page reads the register vintage by vintage and the transmission grid’s room for more.

Largest first. Click a row to centre the map on the battery, or open its page. Power and energy are the register’s own figures; a hybrid’s solar or wind is a separate row in the register and is not counted here. The date is the register’s date of entry into service, or of connection where it gives no other.
