In Elia’s list

Elia schedules this battery under the name below. Elia usually starts scheduling a battery when it begins testing, so the first day here is when it reached the grid, not when it began commercial operation.

What the sources say

Elia lists a 7 MW unit named Drogenbos Batteries from January 2025, and still lists it. Its owner is not named anywhere we have found. It is probably ENGIE’s 6 MW test battery of 2017 at its Drogenbos power station, but ENGIE said on 28 May 2026 that the old test battery is being removed to make room for its new 80 MW park on the site, so whether the Elia unit is that battery is unsettled.

Evidence and sources

From the owners’, developers’ and builders’ own releases and the trade press, read by Vitreous, joined to Elia’s list by name. This page carries no money: no Belgian body publishes what a named battery earns. List id BE-B06.
