Texas

Texas is a market in testing. Vitreous is reading ERCOT’s monthly Generator Interconnection Status report, the public file that lists every project in the Texas connection queue on a schedule and checking what it says, and publishes nothing from it until the data passes the same checks as Great Britain’s.

Texas is one of the two largest battery markets in the world outside China, and its queue is among the most completely published anywhere: every project, its capacity, its county, its study milestones and its projected date, in one file a month. It is being read because the history cannot be rebuilt later; whether Vitreous publishes it is a separate decision.
